Android App: Smart Launcher

I recently discovered a new launcher for Android called Smart Launcher.

It’s a very simple and incredibly lightweight home screen replacement that looks simply amazing.

This is how my home launcher looks now:

You select a few favoriteĀ apps and put them on the home screen like this.
Each app is called a “Bubble” and the ring is the “Flower”.

Widgets are disabled by default, but can be enabled by buying the “Pro” version.
I personally prefer not to use widgets, but I bought the Pro version anyway to support the developer (Who by the way is a really nice guy!)

Of course, not all apps can be stored in the Flower.
To open the app drawer, you either press a button in the bottom corner or slide from the side.
This opens a column of categories:

Touch a category to list its apps.
Smart Launcher is the very first launcher for Android that automatically categorizes all apps.
I find that pretty impressive!

At the moment it automatically uses your unit’s system language and has no manual language selection.

It’s Swedish translation is currently rather mediocre, but I have sent an improved version to the developer which will be included in the next version.

Make sure you try out the free version from Google Play!
